On March 22, 2012, the Ministry of Health announced changes to generic drug pricing reimbursement. The Minister also announced an increase in dispensing fees, a mark-up on generic drugs, the New Brunswick PharmaCheck medication review program, a rural pharmacy incentive, and an investment to help offset costs associated with connecting to the provincial drug information system/prescription monitoring program.
