Nova Scotia - Pharmacists granted select prescriptive authority

Effective February 2011, pharmacists in Nova Scotia were granted prescriptive authority for select medications and select situations. While legislation passed in January 2010, the Nova Scotia College of Pharmacists needed to complete its practice standards prior to pharmacists implementing their prescriptive authority.
Effective 2007, the Medication Review Service was launched.
