The Summary Report from the CPD/CE Policy Summit is now available for download.

Three two-day Summit sessions were held in Edmonton (September 21-22, 2010), Halifax (September 28-29, 2010) and Toronto (October 7-8, 2010). The overall goal of the CPD/CE Policy Summit project is to develop the policy framework and support systems that enable continuing professional development to support practice change and continuing competence.

The results of the Summit will be used by CCCEP in the revision of its policy and criteria of accreditation of continuing education programs. The results will also be tabled with the Blueprint for Pharmacy Steering Committee for action and follow-up. Finally, the results will be distributed to a number of pharmacy organizations and they will be asked to consider participating in the reform of continuing education and lifelong learning in pharmacy.
